Mr. Littlefield is a former one-term NH state representative serving from 2020-2022. As a member of the Belknap County Delegation he supported many of the budget cuts advocated by libertarians Mike Sylvia, Norm Silber and others. It was during the effort to pack the Gunstock Area Commission with libertarian activists that Mr. Littlefield broke with Delegation leadership and joined a coalition led by Rep. Harry Bean to install less divisive leadership.
Mr. Littlefield, a resident of Laconia, is a prolific letter writer in the Laconia Daily Sun. He touts his availability to constituents and recent letters have urged more collegiality in local politics. In a recent letter in the Laconia Daily Sun, he refuses to bow to pressure for him to call for Dawn Johnson to withdraw from politics. As a result, a slew of letters have been sent to the Laconia Daily Sun criticizing Mr. Littlefield.
In another recent letter, Mr. Littlefield outlines six specific issues which are important to him, including increased funding and expanding core requirements for education, preservation of New Hampshire’s state parks and waterways, preserving a women’s access to IVF and contraception, continued support for law enforcement, support for the 2nd Amendment but is open to sensible gun safety measures.
Mr. Littlefield is Endorsed by a Libertarian/Free Stater Group
The Liberty Alliance is a group that promotes an extreme Libertarian and Free State Libertarian agenda. They have rated all 424 of New Hampshire's legislators in terms of how well each of them conforms to their brand of Libertarian values. Mr. Littlefield, who pretends to be a Republican on the ballot, receives high marks from this group. True Republicans may want to take this fringe endorsement under consideration before casting a ballot.
