Susan Stevens is a first time candidate, and has been a resident of Alton for many years.  

 

While a political newcomer, she supports the recent efforts of the Belknap County Delegation to restore the county budget to responsible levels after its gutting libertarian extremists prior to 2023.    She also supports proper funding for the county nursing home in an effort to retain staff and maintain the most efficient number of clients for the facility.  

 

One of her key issues is affordable housing for Belknap County, which is key to a growing economy.   She would support legislation which would encourage expansion of workforce housing to help keep young adults in Belknap county , including changes to zoning laws, and repurposing disused facilities like the State School.  

 

While we don't see her as an extremist, she has not robustly campaigned either, so we are taking a position of NEUTRAL on Ms. Stevens.
